Deleting old messages in Inbox
Today my Inbox was full and I went to delete some of the old messages. I was not able to delete selected messages and the only choice I found was to empty the whole inbox.
I didn't want to do that since I had a few recent messages that I did not want deleted.
Finally I gave up and hit the "empty inbox" button. It deleted about half of the messages.
This was fine for now, but is there a way to just delete some selected messages?

Re: Deleting old messages in Inbox
The only way to delete some of your most recent messages is by using Tapatalk. Otherwise you have to delete them all by emptying Inbox as you found out. Tapatalk won't work for older messages either.
You can delete your Sent messages by choice but not your Inbox messages. Also, they won't all disappear from your Inbox because unless the other parties also delete them you will continue to see some remnants of message threads in your Inbox.

Re: Deleting old messages in Inbox
Be aware of this unresolved glitch: The Inbox will continue to list messages that you have deleted either en masse by vBulletin or piecemeal by Tapatalk. Rely on "messages stored" in the "Folder Controls" below the bottom of the Inbox rather than the Inbox list.

Re: Deleting old messages in Inbox
I often struggle with managing and download messages, especially when I first got an iPhone. It's like a whole new world to me, and I find it hard to figure out what to do. That's why I really appreciate helpful guides like this one https://setapp.com/how-to/how-to-dow...es-from-iphone They come in handy right when I need them, helping me make sense.
