    Default Couple of grails acquired!

I have been mostly grail hunting this winter and had some success!

I have wanted a Montblanc 139 for decades, but I either couldn't find a near-mint example or didn't want to shell out the $4000.00 plus to acquire one.

In February I made the acquaintance of a kind attorney who has been collecting writing instruments for the last 2 decades or more and has a lovely and much-to-be-desired collection. I was able to pick up not only a 139, but also a 138 both in thrilling condition!

I am now fortunate enough to have a Montblanc 132, 134, 138, and 139 in the collection I am curating for future generations. If you have a 136, I would be intrigued!

    Enjoy the pics.

Very big congratulations to you! Those are remarkable pens to procure.

Very nice! When hunting for your 136, you'll discover that Montblanc produced that same model with a variety of clips, cap bands, nibs and more. A 136 collection could become a separate rabbit hole on its own.

Congratulations and thank you for the pictures.
A family portrait would be a good addition to this thread for ... y'know, future generations

Thank you Fred. I noticed the clips and nibs, but the bands escaped me. I need to do more research.
