Ooh! That's a pretty complement to the spring model.

I couldn't help myself.....I knew the spring edition would soon be coming to the end.....so I ordered one and got it last week. I love it. The pink is very bright and the stub nib writes like a dream.

Yup that summer edition would be a nice match.

    Default My Edison Family

Crazyorange, you have until September ...

A friend posted a FB image of a port in Italy, and that looks just like the color of the water.

I'm not at home and can't take a picture right now, but the LE will be a little thinner than your Franklin Christoph model 65 and just slightly shorter, but not much. The Herald will be shorter and fatter than the 65. The grip section will be about the same, but the barrel is fatter. I don't have my Collier anymore.

Lesley, if you go look at the comparison pics in the OP, you should be able to get a good idea of the relative sizes. The Collier isn't there, but my DE Pearl is. My DE Pearl and the Collier feel very similar in the hand uncapped, and neither of them post.

I have no experience with the Hudson, Pearlette, Beaumont, 76, Herald Grande, Stillwell, Gem, Del Coronado, Menlo, or Glenmont. I've also heard of some discontinued models from the early days.

I just like Edison pens, and you get to know what you're passionate about.

I have a couple of other projects in the works with other pen makers, but I'll be coming back for another Edison either in the fall or next spring.

I have no experience with the... Glenmont.
It's (of course) a passion we share!

Dunno, Tiffany, I rather see you with a Glenmont. For a moment there, thought you had one! (That beautiful ivory Herald confused me.)

Note about the upcoming Edison Pen group buy: Brian anticipates the announcement for this will be around July 28th, with the buying period to be after the DC Pen Show, mid-August. Get on his eblast if you wanna stay up-to-date.

Ah yes, the ivory Herald. That pen has many mixed emotions wrapped up in it! It was my first custom pen, so besides any other good qualities, I feel fondly for it for that reason alone.

Last summer in a moment of inattention because I had just accidentally mixed my last bit of Levenger Pinkly with Noodler's Old Manhattan Black, I didn't notice the barrel drop to the floor. Harley, just four months old at the time, did see it drop, though, and chewed on it.

I was so sick about it that I just put it away in the closet for a few months until I could think about what to do. As you probably know, Brian has no more of that ivory and can't get more. We eventually came up with a plan to stabilize the damaged areas and make the pen useable, and the pics at the beginning of this thread show the repaired pen.

Then Harley passed away in March, so now I can't help but think of it as Harley's pen rather than the Herald.

It's one of those things that is practically worthless to someone else but is priceless to me.

Thought I'd share my latest Edison. It's a Glenmont! Pretty happy here.

    Anyone recognize the material?

jde: that is a very beautiful pen; my compliments.

I haven't clue what it's made from - could it be retro - Casein?

Wow! Very classy. Fill us in....what is the material ? It looks like a 1930 retro marble.
