    Oh, I may have misunderstood your question. If you meant where did the ebonite rods come from, I believe they are from American Art Plastics: http://www.americanartplastics.com/h..._pricing.shtml
    Thanks. Yes the link is what I was looking for.

    This thread is great.

    How is the girth on the Menlo? It looks like it's between the Beaumont and the Pearl.

    Yes, I think the clipless Morgan is just a tiny bit shorter. I actually didn't notice until I photographed them. They are the same length uncapped, though, so I think the red/black one has a very-slightly-shorter cap. It's such a small difference that you probably wouldn't notice at a glance.

    No, I don't find it to be too short. I like the pinched grip a lot and I think the Morgan is a very comfortable pen to hold (that's why I have three of them! ). I love the way the pen bulges slightly in the middle and is tapered at both ends. A double-ended pen is on my wish list, and I'm thinking of asking Brian if he can make a Double-ended Morgan.

    I seem to remember a blog post update where he listed the models they have done. I think the Morgan is on the list.

    I love the Menlo shape. It is better for me than any of them if I recall from sampling Brian's inventory. It fits my hand nicely.

    Hmm… I don't have a Beaumont so I'm not sure. The Pearl is noticeably wider. The Menlo is very, very similar in girth to my Huron.

    Thanks. It would be similar to the girth of my desk pen then.

    Menlo is between. The Beaumont is small but a bit larger than the encore

    But the Huron cap is over fit while the Menlo is seamless

    Has anyone asked Brian about making a DE pen that is hollow all the way through for if you will only be using one color of ink?

    More pics from home. Tried a few different angles and backgrounds to show off the diameter of each pen for comparison.

    Beaumont in Tiger Eye, Menlo ED in Onyx Flake, Glenmont in Dark Tortoise Celluloid, and DE Pearl (skinnier than standard Pearl).

    The Menlo is the perfect shape and size to me. Nice diameter.

    Wouldn't be very airplane friendly though :-}

    Yes I did. It won't work. Since both ends are "open" (the nibs/feeds), there isn't any way to keep the ink from leaking out the other end.

    In either the thread on FPN or here entitled "Double Ended Pen? Why Not?", someone asked this as well and Brian explains why. I'll try to find the link.

    The sapphire from the earlier photo is a pump filler. The onyx from tonight is the first ED Menlo...
