Hey, look at that – we’re into double digits! Ten give aways and this is our, what, third Parker 51? That’s crazy! This 51 Slender is shorter and slightly thinner than full size 51s but longer than the Vacumatic filling Demi. The Slender also uses the Aerometric filler. There is no manufacturing imprint or date code on this pen but the Slender is known to have been first produced in 1948 and there is an imprint on the barrel that reads “EULA M. EDWARDS”. To win this pen go to this thread and tell us how many active notebooks you have and what you’re using them for. This contest is open until Monday, May 31st, 2010 11:59pm.

Wow, we’ve done nine of these things already? It seems like just yesterday that we were giving away that Rhodia Box and our first Parker 51. My, how time flies when you’re having fun!

Would you like to partake in some more fun? Well, how much fun would you reckon a Moleskine Sketchbook, a bottle of vintage Skrip ink, and two Hero fountain pens would be? I reckon it’d be a jolly good time to win this lot!

All ya have to do to enter is scamper on down to this thread here and tell us which filling system you prefer? Is it a piston? A C/C? An eyedropper? The Vacumatic? Just give a little reason why and we’ll be happy.

Since this Give Away is getting posted a little late we’re going to extend the deadline to Sunday, May 23rd at 11:59PM. Good luck!

To continue with the tradition of our weekly give away (how long can we keep this up?) we are going to give away a Dove Gray Parker 51 Demi with a fine nib. This pen has been restored by yours truly so you know it’s good to go.  The diaphragm has been replaced, it’s been thoroughly cleaned inside and out and polished to mirror-like shine.  All you have to do win this pen is click your way to this thread and tell us what nib size and material you prefer. Since we were a little tardy in getting this one up we’ll extend the deadline for entry (and stick by it this time). You’ll have until Monday, May 10th at 11:59PM CST.

Based off our last give away you guys either really like ink, notebooks, or pens. Or maybe it was the combination of all of them together that did it. I’m not sure but I do know that we’re going to continue to give you cool stuff anyway. This time it’s a large Rhodia Webnotebook. These are one of the best notebooks I’ve ever used. It’s filled with 96 lined sheets of 90g paper, has an inner pocket on the back cover, and an elastic strap to keep it closed. You can’t beat this notebook when it comes to price and performance. What do you have to do to make this gem of a notebook yours? Go to this thread and tell us how you use your fountain pens in everyday life.  Do you take notes at work? Just journal in the evening? Make grocery lists? We want to know. You’ll have until Sunday at 11:59pm on May 2nd, 2010 to enter.

First of all, let me apologize for not getting this up on time. We think all you foutain pen geeks out there will really like this one. It’s a nice package deal that includes a Moleskine 5×8 Sketchobook, a vintage bottle of Skrip ink with the integrated ink well, and a black Esterbrook SJ with a 9550 nib. Are you salivating yet? The best part about this contest is that all you have to do to enter is scurry on over to this thread and tell us how many pens you have in your collection AND how many do you think it will take before you’re content? Pretty simple, eh? Since I was late getting this up we’ll give you a little more time to enter. You have until Monday, April 26th, 2010 at 11:59pm to enter.

We got a lot of good feedback about the first quiz but the one thing we heard the most was that people wanted it to be more difficult, so this is our attempt at fulfilling that request. After you take the quiz stop by this thread to the share your score and check out the references for each questions. Have fun!
